Growth - part of the Bloom Collection

Growth is a floral inspired design hand stitched onto a bright turquoise cotton base. The composition uses motif clusters suggestive of floral buds, leaves and petals in a stylised form. The embellishments are handcrafted from a combination of recycled materials including; painted metal washers, electric cable sleeve bugle beads, packaging sequins, and foiled leather. The design is finished with decorative embroidery stitches.

The Bloom collection was stitched in 2017-2018, and encompasses soft, floral and fauna inspired designs with glints of detail, delicate hand stitched accents and colourful compositions.

The artwork is stretched, laced and mounted onto acid free mount board. It is framed and glazed in a light natural wood frame, with deep rebate. Strung on the reverse for hanging. Artwork size approx inc. frame is 34cm x 36cm.
