Sherbet Pips - Old English Sweet Collection

Sherbet Pips is an abstract embroidered design, hand stitched onto fine dyed grey silk. This textile is embroidered with french knots in hand dyed butter yellow silk and cotton threads - layered with metal washers and foil detail.

This artwork was stitched in 2018 and forms a part of the Old English Sweet collection - inspired by the nostalgia, playful shapes and vibrant colours of sweets and candies.

The textile is stretched and laced onto acid free mount board. With a deep rebate white wooden frame, complete with glazing. It is ready to hang and is strung on the reverse.
