Link - Encrusted Collection

Link is a layered 3D embellished artwork that uses loops and swirls to create a linked, intricate pattern. The embellishments are a combination of handcrafted and recycled elements including; elastic loops, wool, packaging sequins, plastic tags and dyed cotton thread. The artwork is hand stitched onto a layered black cotton canvas and lime mesh base. Couching with coloured wools and cotton threads adds extra pattern to the design.

Link is part of the Encrusted collection, inspired by maximalist, over-embellished and detailed surfaces and intricate patterns using simple shapes. Most pieces in this collection are stitched on dark bases to allow the colours and shapes to really pop.

The artwork is stretched, laced and mounted within a solid black frame with glazing. Frame is strung on the reverse ready to hang. Artwork size inc frame: 36cm x 36cm.
