Flying Saucers - Old English Sweet Collection

Flying Saucers is an layered abstract design, hand stitched onto layered mesh and cotton textile. Hand crafted sequin embellishments include painted metal washers, plastic packaging sequins, hand dyed ribbons and tapes with embroidery detail and couching.

This artwork was stitched in 2018 and forms a part of the Old English Sweet collection - inspired by the nostalgia, playful shapes and vibrant colours of sweets and candies.

The textile is stretched and laced onto acid free mount board. With a deep rebate white wooden frame, complete with glazing. It is ready to hang and is strung on the reverse.
