Barley Sugar - Old English Sweet Collection

Barley Sugar is a repeating motif design, hand stitched onto a hand dyed mustard linen textile base. Hand crafted sequin embellishments include stacked painted metal washers attached with hand dyed linen thread embroidery.

This artwork was stitched in 2018 and forms a part of the Old English Sweet collection - inspired by the nostalgia, playful shapes and vibrant colours of sweets and candies.

The textile is stitched onto acid free mount board and has a lovely hand frayed linen edge. With a deep rebate white wooden frame, complete with glazing. It is ready to hang and is strung on the reverse.
